Sophia's Bookshop
How on earth can you pack a million books on
Rajneesh (Osho),Tantra, Zen, Spirituality ,
Fiction, Health, Gardening, Travel, Pregnancy
and everything else you can think of in a little
room? Well, nobody knows. Except Sophia, the ever-helpful
smiling lady running this second-hand bookshop.
Tucked away in the lane next to Prem's Restaurant
in Koregaon Park, this bookshop mostly caters
to the eclectic tastes of the Rajneeshites. And
hence that mind boggling range of books. You can
pick up books in English, German, Japanese, Spanish,
French or Portuguese, all at the most reasonable
prices. You can even come back to sell those books
at half the price.
Don't forget to take a look at the audiotapes
on the shelves, just in case you might find them
worth picking them up at throwaway prices. So
next time you wade through all those psychedelic
clothes, crystal, stones and people on the North
Koregaon Park Main Road, don't forget to check
into Sophia's. See it to believe it.
