Kashmira is an exclusive shop which manufactures
and sells nightwear and home wear. We got a chance
to speak to Mr. Kishor Chhabria - the brain
behind Kashmira.
 How
long have you been in this business?
We are in the garment business for the last
60 years. But, since the last 10 years, we are
selling night and home wear.
Where did you start this business?
Same place where it is now. The shop is here
since 1937. It was previously known as Kashmir
Cap Store. Now it's Kashmira.
What made you get into this business?
Got an opportunity and grabbed it, especially
since there was no one in this business.
 What
are the types of products you sell?
As we are the only company in the night and
home wear business, we sell whatever we manufacture.
The products are made out of cotton, satin and
polynosic. We have an entirely different section
for bridal wear. With the in-house manufacturing
and designing unit, we also customise the products
according to the needs of the customer.
Do you have any branches? Where and how many?
Other than the main shop at Laxmi Road, we
have one franchise outlet at M.G. Road.
What are your shop timings? Do you accept
credit cards?
The shop on Laxmi Road is closed on Monday
and the one on M.G. Road is open all through the
week.
Yes, we accept all major credit cards.
Do you have any celebrity customers as clients?
I can't tell you the name of the customers,
but almost all the big industrialists and celebrities
of Pune are my clients.
Do you have a company slogan or motto or a
mission statement?
Hard work and sheer hard work pays.
