Ruksun Technologies was established in 1993.  It began by producing multimedia electronic storybooks for children in a joint venture with Connect Soft Inc. In the initial years, Ruksun developed products which were far ahead of their times and became well known as a developer of electronic messaging and Internet products for children. These included the kids version of the vastly popular e-mail client, E-Mail Connection and a web-browser, called Kid Web Connection.

Today, Ruksun is over a 100-people Company with a sharp focus on mobile and wireless computing. Ruksun's current portfolio consists of end-user mobile applications based on innovative implementation of Internet-based technologies. It develops messaging solutions that are device agnostic and carrier independent.

Across multiple operating systems and multiple carriers, its solutions are for the corporate mobile worker as well as the consumer. Ruksun offers products, technology components and complete end-user solutions that enable people to use handheld devices for mobile data communications, productivity applications, Instant Messaging and entertainment. Their products work over Windows CE based devices, Symbian/EPOC32 OS based devices, Palm OS based devices, Amiga OS based devices and over a multitude of cell phones and smart phones.

The working environment at Ruksun actively encourages creativity within a strong organizational culture. Spread over three locations at Pune, India and a small team in the USA office, plans  are underway to establish offices in Europe in the near future.
