or Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies,
a brand name among the management institutes is
an autonomous institution established in 1993
by Symbiosis Society. It carved out a niche for
itself in the corporate world as one of the best
business schools in India. With a student strength
of 16,000 from all over India and 32 foreign countries,
the principal aim of the institution is to serve
the noble cause of Defence personnel to be abreast
of organisational restructuring, increased competition,
and globalisation. In this fast moving world of
rapid social and technological change, a top-calibre
business education is more valuable than ever.
The Symbiosis institutions are located in Pune,
the cultural capital of Maharashtra.
 Established
in 1971, with a goal to promote global understanding
between Indian and foreign students through education,
the Symbiosis International Cultural and Educational
Centre has seventeen academic institutions which
offers courses in different disciplines like Law,
Management, Computers, Journalism, Telecommunications,
Arts, Commerce, Primary and Secondary education.
The Managing Committee of Symbiosis comprises
of eminent academicians, industrialists, bankers
and social workers, who with their knowledge and
experience guide the activities of this society.

of the 21st century. Admission to SIMS is through
a scientific selection process. The rigorous scheduling
of 'On-the-Job' training and class room inputs
comprising of a multitude of subjects, conducted

Management Graduates. The training here concentrates

PGDM
Course capacity: 120
Dual specialisation in any two - Marketing, Finance,
Production, Materials and Systems
PGDM (PM & HRD)
Two-year full time management programme.
Course capacity: 60
Students are simultaneously facilitated to undergo
a Masters Degree in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare
(MLL & LW), which is an approved qualification
for appointment under Factories Act, 1948.
PGDMM
One-year full time program with specialisation
in Marketing and International Trade.
Part time courses

Diploma in Marketing Management (DMM)
Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management
(PGDPM)
Correspondence courses

Masters Diploma in Business Administration (MDBA)
- (Course contents are equivalent to MBA) with
specialisation in Personnel, Marketing, International
Trade and Finance.
Masters Diploma in Personnnel Management and
Industrial Relations (MDPM & IR) with specialisation
in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Development,
Labour Welfare.
Masters Diploma in International Trade (MDIT).
