 Finolex
Cables Limited, established in 1956, is the
flagship of the Finolex Group of Companies. It is
India's largest manufacturer of a wide range of
electrical and telecommunication cables, with plants
at Pimpri and Urse near Pune.
Finolex Cables' products cater to the agricultural,
automobile, power and telecommunications industry.
The cables are manufactured using electrolytic grade
copper having high conductivity using latest process
control equipment for consistent and reliable quality.
By using copper from Finolex Essex Industries and
PVC from Finolex Industries has quality controlled
at every stage of manufacturing.
 Agriculture:
Finolex is the largest manufacturer in the organised
sector of PVC insulated Winding Wires and three
core flat cables for submersible pumps. More than
a thousand kilometers have been supplied to Government
sponsored schemes in the Gulf. The Company has excellent
capacity for manufacturing high sized submersible
cables and related special cables for dewatering,
slurry pumping etc.
 Automobile:
Finolex is a leader in automobile wires, supplying
to major Automobile Harness manufacturers and the
replacement market. Finolex has developed automobile
wires that meet the most stringent specifications
like JIS, DIN, etc. and are also supplying special
wires with thin wall insulation meeting 105 °C applications.
The Company exports auto cables worth millions of
U.S. dollars.
Cable TV Network: Finolex has recently
introduced RG11, RG6 and RG59 cables, used in Cable
TV network and other RF applications.
 Computer
Network: Finolex has started manufacturing these
cables, popularly known as Category 5 cables, are
effectively used in horizontal structured cabling
for interconnecting Computers and Systems. Stringent
tests and high quality control measures ensure that
the cables conform to International standards such
as TIA / EIA-568-A.
Construction: Finolex has pioneered the concept
of Flame Retardant Low Smoke electrical wires having
international-class fire-retardant and low-smoke
properties. These wires are ideal for concealed
and conduit wiring in multi-storeyed buildings,
commercial and residential complexes, hotels, hospitals,
banks, factories etc.
 Industrial
Flexibles : The Company is India's leading manufacturer
of PVC insulated Single & Multi-core Flexible
Cables. These cables find a wide range of uses in
machine tools, appliances, control panels, machinery
and industries of every nature.
Telecommunications: Finolex is one of India's
largest manufacturers of Jelly Filled Telecommunications
Cables. Prestigious customers include the Department
of Telecom, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, various
Public Sector Undertakings, Defence, Railways, and
Steel & Fertilizer Plants. The Company has the
capability to manufacture cables to most national
/ international standards.
