Cadence was incorporated in 1992 by its three founders - Ajay Shirke, the scion of the B.G. Shirke Construction Company of Pune, Walter Hermann, an electronic research engineer with immense research experience and Mahendra Dave, a leading music aficionado and owner of 'Oceanic' the oldest music store in the city.

Headquartered in Pune, Cadence is a hi-fi audio equipment company with a clear charter to design and create world-class audio equipments of the highest quality. Quality has never been compromised at Cadence with investments of over Rs. 32 millions till date in R & D, infrastructure and measuring and testing hardware and software. They have set up an anechoic chamber, which is one of the very few in the world, dedicated to the testing of audio equipment.

Cadence's R&D division has two separate units viz. - The R & D Set up and The Reference Listening Setup. The R & D Setup has the dedicated anechoic chamber and hardware and software from leaders in their fields. The Reference Listening Setup is for auditioning of developed products and also other products from other world leaders.

Cadence has built up an infrastructure to manufacture world-class products. It is the exclusive importer and distributor of the superb range Van den Hul cables from the Netherlands. The company represents FORSELL AB of Sweden, by selling their exotic CD transports, D/A converters, turntables and solid-state amplifiers in the Indian market. A wide range of CD players from HELIOS of France are also available through Cadence. Most recently, DCS, manufacturers of the state of the art award winning ELGAR D/A converters have appointed Cadence their exclusive Indian importers.

The different Cadence products are:

ARCA III - It is a high efficiency loudspeaker incorporating a unique curved electrostatic and a kevlar nomex composite woofer.

AMAYA - Is a high efficiency hi tech curved electrostatic panel with long throw woofer with composite cone made of Kevlar.

ANINA - Known as the little genius, it is available with 29 mm thick cabinet walls, which results in greater clarity and superb sound staging, providing unheard levels of sonic performance.

DIVA - This small wonder is designed for those who cannot afford the hybrid designs.

CANASYA - The amplifier from Cadence provides the finest sound, a pure A class operation up to a power of 50 W.

Cadence has today launched the ARCAM range of products. Arcam has an unmatched record internationally with its high performance equipment. The company has also launched a new range of loudspeakers keeping in mind the needs of diverse applications of stereo and five channel systems.
