Children's Film Club
Are you interested in knowing more about films
than just watching films?
Well, here's Children's Film Club to encourage
children to watch, know and learn more about films.
Sachin Kundalkar and Madhura Deo-Dahanukar
started this club with a view to deglamourise
cinema and introduce cinema as both an art and
a science for children in the age group of 8 to
15 years.
A team of experts and enthusiasts on the governing
body help in choosing the films. Children are
encouraged to discuss and maintain a diary to
record their personal views and thoughts after
watching films in the club. As a member you just
might get to watch the actual shooting and recording
of a film. You could even get a chance to discuss
and talk to filmmakers. The Children's
Film Club is an ideal platform for all
enthusiastic children inclined towards films,
as it is all set to groom a discerning audience
for good cinema.
All screenings are at the NFAI auditorium.

Alliance Francaise De Poona
Every Sunday at 6:00 pm, the Poona Alliance Francaise
has been screening french films in its premises
for the last 25 years. With a view to give a taste
of french films, this Indo-French cultural centre
also occasionally organises french film festivals
in collaboration with the National Film Archives
of India (NFAI). This is a good place to get exposed
to all the great french cinema by auteurs
like Godard, Truffaut, Chabrol among many others.
All films are subtitled in English

Memberships are open in January every year.

Max Muellar Bhavan Pune
Max Muellar Bhavan started screenings
films in Pune about 40 years ago. German films
are regularly screened here every friday at 7:00pm.
With a seating space for about 70 viewers at a
time, you can get to see a range of German films
from directors like Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders
and Rainer Fassbinder, just to name a few. Max
Muellar Bhavan also organises German film festivals
in collaboration with the National Film Archives
of India (NFAI). All the films are subtitled in
English. Membership is free.
