After Graduation in 1970, Mr. Ashok Deshpande worked as an Apprentice with the Diamond Watch Company in Pune. Here he developed a passion for watches -- so much so that he started his own firm named Ashok Watch House in 1977, and took the distributorship of Hegde - Golay Ltd., who were the pioneers of digital watches in India. This forced him to take up servicing and repairing of digital watches in particular. Today Ashok is not only the leader in but a 'sort of final authority' in servicing of digital watches, digital diaries, calculators, etc., especially the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) type watches.

Ashok is one of the three watch / clock manufacturers in Pune. He has a Small Scale Unit that assembles digital diaries, calculators, etc from imported components and fitted with indigenous manufactured components to suit the tropical Indian weather conditions. These he markets under the "Adical" brand.

He specialises in the manufacture of 'customised clocks and watches' for Corporates as gift articles. His client list reads like a who's who of the Pune Corporates. Some top clients are: Bajaj Auto, Telco, Bharat Electronics Ltd, Thermax Ltd, several Co operative Banks, Sandvik Asia, ACC Cement, and several more.

His network spreads all over Maharashtra but he is well known in the districts of Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Nanded, Osmanabad and Nagpur

He is also the distributor for several branded telephones and other tele communication equipment.
