Karen Rancon, City belle sets her sights on Modelling.
Karen Roncon, stands 5.3 feet tall, is all
of eighteen and likes us to believe that precious
things come in small packages. Currently pursuing
a B.Com. from Wadias, Karen is also a graphics designer
with an adventurous streak. A self confessed romantic;
she acknowledges being a highly talkative person.
There's more to Karen than just good looks, read
on...
How did you get into modelling?
Believe me it just happened, a friend of mine, Mr.
Harpreet who is a leading model photographer in
Pune asked me whether I would like to model. I refused
initially, then decided to give it a try and that
is how it all started.
Since how long have you been modelling?
It’s been close to a year and I plan to pursue
it seriously.
Could you mention some of your assignments
and your achievements?
I have been regularly modelling for the fashion
columns in the Pune Times; I have participated in
the L’Oreal Hair Show besides a couple of
others. As far as achievements go, I was declared
the 2nd Runner-up and the winner of the Miss
Beautiful Smile title at the recently held Residency
May Queen 2001 contest.
Tell us about your likes and dislikes?
I like junk food, especially Pizzas, I am very comfortable
in casuals; I love the company of talkative people
and love to be close to nature. I hate shopping.
I find it very time consuming and it tires me easily.
Who is your favourite author?
I love reading Daniel Steele’s novels.
What is success according to you?
When one is satisfied with the way one is
and what one does.
Who do you look upon as an ideal?
My mother, she is the most ideal person on this
planet.
What is life according to you?
I am still trying to figure that one out.
Do you listen to music? What kind of music?
I love listening to all kinds of music. It depends
on what I am doing at that moment. For e.g., when
I am driving, I listen to songs which I can hum
along, while resting it’s the country numbers
and when partying it's techno like "Who
let the dogs out."
What are your future plans?
There are a lot of things that I want to do at the
same time. I want to be a graphic designer, an airhostess
and also a successful model. Let's see what life
has in store for me.
