Sandeep Bhansali - sports person, social activist
and now an upcoming model.
Sandeep entered the field of modeling at the
age of 17 and has not looked back since. Looks
that could kill, talent and sheer hard work- that's
Sandeep Bhansali. With two TV serials, a music
video for Pune Group 'Neev', and the best Male
model at the IITC model hunt, he has established
himself as a successful Model.
Poonabest talks to Sandeep about the
secret of his success.
How did you get into modelling?
When
I was 17, a friend fo mine introduced me to this
profession. He is a model coordinator at Glamour
Scottish, the agency which has launched many models,
including actress Sonali Bendre.
You have been a state level swimmer in your
school days and were also actively involved in
social work.
Yes, I was a swimmer for Maharashtra State
in my school days. I was also involved in Social
work. I actively participated in the activities
of NACO (National AIDS Control Organization) and
UNAIDSCO.
In 1995 I was chosen as the representative of
the youth of Maharashtra to attend a UNAIDSCO
Conference held in New Delhi.
Who guided you through the world of modeling?
Ayaaz Khan is the person who has taught and guided
me. Presently, I am assisting him in his work
and guiding other models.
Tell us something about your serial 'Tujh
pe dil kurbaan'.
Getting a role in 'Tujh Pe Dil Kurbaan' was
a very good thing for me. I have learned a lot
about acting from talented actors such as Benjamin
Gilani and Rohit Roy, who are in the cast.
So who are your favorite models, actors, actresses?
Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek
Bachhan are my favorite actors. I am absolutely
crazy about Aishwarya Rai and Lisa Ray. My room
is filled with nearly 3000 pictures of Ash and
Lisa!
Is Bollywood your next target?
I have not planned anything as such, but if
that happens I'll be happy! I'll have to first
move to Mumbai because that's where everything
happens in this field!
