Kirloskar Copeland Compressors for Air conditioners.

India's largest compressor manufacturer, Kirloskar Copeland Ltd. (KCL), has announced its plans to further refine its CR6 compressor as well as introduce a compact compressor for Air conditioners.

Deepak Takkar, Associate Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kirloskar Copeland Ltd. said that being market leaders, it was easy to understand the needs and expectations of the customers and it was their endeavour to deliver the best technology to meet these requirements. The new version of CR6 is being designed to cater to the rapidly growing market of new sophisticated Air Conditioner models to be introduced by Consumer Electronic Majors.

CR6, introduced in 1995, is recognized as one of the world's highest efficiency reciprocating hermetic compressors with an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) as high as 10.7 to 11.5 and it is the most popular model from the KCL stable with a wide installed base of more than 3,50,000 units till date.

The current model of CR6 is India's most energy efficient compressor and it is 12-15% more energy efficient than any other compressor in its category. It is designed for Window and Split ACs as well as Heat Pumps. Based on twelve hours of operation per day it saves electricity to the extent of Rs.250/-per month.

According to N.J. Agarwal, Associate Vice President, Corporate Quality & Engineering, CR6 is the most popular model in its category on account of its efficiency and reliability. It is also ideal for Indian conditions as the compressor is able to withstand fluctuations in voltage. Its motor operating at lower temperature prevents overheating and leads to lower discharge gas temperature which increases the reliability of the compressor & in turn the Air conditioner
