up in Pimpri, Maharashtra, in 1960. Canadian
Kay Pump, Toronto, Canada, is the major

KSB Pumps introduced submersible pumps
in India. Though these pumps are fairly
common today, KSB Pumps, the pioneer in
this field continues to enjoy market leadership
and customer preference. It holds a 35%
market share in submersible pumps, besides
holding a large share in industrial pumps.
The company's modernisation and expansion
project for the manufacture of process pumps
was undertaken at Pimpri, where a project
to manufacture nuclear power pumps was also
set up. It also took up a new project in
Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, to manufacture submersible
pumps and valves, for which a technical
collaboration agreement was signed with
Velan, Canada. The company set up
a new project at Sinnar, Nashik District,
to manufacture valves and pumps, commercial
production of which commenced in 1994-95.

disposed off, KSB is on hand. Their ultra-modern
pump and valve technology and comprehensive
service get things moving.
