Lumax Industries Limited was established
in 1945, as a trading concern. Within a few
years it commenced manufacturing of automotive
components. In 1981 it became a corporate
entity, and a public limited company in 1984.
 Lumax
manufactures a wide range of automotive
lighting equipment, rear view mirrors, filters
(air, oil & fuel), plastic moulded and
sheet metal components at it’s state-of-the-art
facilities at Delhi, Gurgaon, Sohna, Dharuhera,
Faridabad, Pune and Aurangabad. It is the
largest O.E supplier of these products,
catering to the nearly all-major vehicle
manufactures in the country, and has over
50% market share. It also has the distinction
of being an OE supplier to General Motors
- USA and Toyota Australia.
 The
company has a technical and financial collaboration
with Stanley Electric Co. Ltd., Japan. It's
partnership with world leader Automotive
Lighting Equipment gives Lumax access to
latest international technology, which is
complemented by its strong in house design
and R&D team. To further consolidate
its market leadership and diversify it's
product range, Lumax has recently tied up
with world-renowned names for various products.
Lumax's range of automotive filters would
be further strengthened by its Technical
assistance agreement with Toyo Roki
Mfg. Co. Ltd. With the technological support
of Poong Jeong Company Ltd., Korea, through
a technical assistance agreement for Hyundai
India project, Lumax is set to introduce
new generation rear view mirrors in the
Indian market.
Lumax has also signed a joint venture
agreement with Samlip Industrial Co. Ltd., Korea
for the manufacture of lighting component
and other chassis parts, for the Hyundai
India project.
It's joint venture with GHSP, USA is a
diversification for its main line business,
into the manufacture of gear shifter systems.
The company's products meet stringent quality
standards and over 124 of them are homologated.
Lumax has ISO 9002 & QS 9000 Certification
for its Gurgaon facility.
