Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Ltd
was formed in March 1988 as a joint venture
between Thermax & Babcock and Wilcox.
The existing staff of the Energy division
of Thermax formed a part of the new joint
venture. The manufacturing facilities of
the company are located in Pimpri Chinchwad.
The
company manufactures a range of specially
designed high efficiency boilers, packaged
and field erected to oil, coal, wood, turbine
exhaust gas, process waste gas and smelter
exhaust gas. The joint venture also offers
expertise in life-extension and rejuvenation
of aging power station boilers.
The company also produces latest design
boilers to international standards like
ASME, not only for Indian market but for
overseas exports too. Products like co-generation
boilers and turbine gas exhaust boilers
manufactured in India are also are targeted
for the world market.
In response to India's Quest for energy
sources, TBW brings to India the principal
medium for production of steam. They make
utilization of unconventional fuel possible,
which is essential for expanding.
TBW products are leading
brands in the industries like sugar, cements,
chemicals, fertilizers, paper, tyre and
petroleum. TBW acquired ISO 9001 certification
in 1994 with the latest revision in 1997
for the design, manufacture, supply, erection
and commissioning of boilers. It is the
first Project Company in India to install
ERP.
