What is Vaastu Shastra? When did it come into
existence? What are the principles of Vaastu Shastra?
33 year old Mechanical Engineer Riyaz Nadaf
helps us get to the bottom of the matter. Riyaz
is a well-known Vaastu Shastra Consultant, and
ranks amongst the top three in India. His clients
include filmstars, artists, business tycoons and
of course politicians.
Riyaz can describe your personality and your positive
and negative traits by just looking at "your
residential plans." His belief? "If
we take care of the configuration of the house,
the house in turn will take care of us."
How old is Vaastu Shastra and who has laid
down its principles?
India is the country where this "Science
of house building", known as Vaastu Shastra
originated. It is a four thousand year old science.
The principles were laid down by the greatest
architect Vishwakarma. It is being practiced in
India since then. The ideal example is the Balaji
Temple at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
What are the basics of Vaastu Shastra?
All the existing sciences and scientists agree
that the earth itself is a magnet. Vaastu Shastra
is based on the forces of nature, namely, (a)
the earth's magnetic force (b) the human magnetic
force. The most important aspect considered while
formulating vaastu (fengshui) is the magentic
field of the earth, which has a significant influence
on human life.
A
human body acts as a magnet, with the head, the
heaviest and the important part of the body, being
the north pole. He explains, "If the head
is directed towards the north while sleeping,
the earth's north pole and that of the body repel
each other, affecting the blood circulation, causing
disturbed sleep, tensions and other connected
problems".
Indian Shastra is considered the most effective
as it uses more
of the natural material, but how is it possible
with the concrete jungles coming up?
One cannot practice 100% of Vaastu Shastra
now-a-days, but with some alterations in the vaastu
you can really expect positive results.
