Seasons Service Apartments- A one of its kind

 Imagine,
you are on a leisure trip to the city, you desire
to live in a nice comfortable hotel, yet you are
unwilling to spend a huge amount of money. Do not
fret. Architect Gauri Naiknavare has introduced
the concept of service apartments that offer you
an attractive alternative. Gauri, the Executive
Director of Seasons Service Apartments has
set up the swanky apartments in up market Koregaon
Park. These apartments offer one the comfort
and cosiness of a home along with the facilities
offered by a hotel at prices that are not astronomical.
 The
idea, says Gauri, is to provide corporate travellers,
long staying guests and families to the city with
an alternative to hotel accommodation. There are
a choice of spacious apartments tastefully done
up in wrought iron furniture. Each apartment also
has a dining area and kitchen complete with basic
crockery. A television, phone, AC, refrigerator,
gas connection, toaster, even an electronic safe
makes sure the traveller feels at home. The service
apartment has a conference hall, a swimming pool,
car hire and laundry service too. All the guests
get complimentary breakfast.
 Stressing
on the facilities offered, Gauri explained that
guests are provided with satchels of basic beverages
like tea and coffee. "It is the closest
you can get to home," she emphasised. Again,
unlike hotels, the guests can enjoy different cuisines
as food from a variety of restaurants can be arranged
for. The apartment has already tied up with a fast
food chain, a French restaurant and an Indian restaurant
for delivery service. In each of the apartments,
one can find the menu card of these restaurants;
what’s more, a fastidious eater can cook at
the apartment itself. Executives have access to
a conference room and Internet facilities; visitors
on holiday have the swimming pool and gymnasium
to keep them occupied.
 According
to Gauri, not everybody who checks in to hotels
are business travellers who come on 'all expenses
paid' visits. Businessmen who run small and medium
enterprises, visitors to the city who have come
to meet friends and relatives or simply
to attend to personal work also form a chunk of
the clientele. The present project has been set
up at a cost of Rs. 4 crores. Gauri plans to set
up more service apartments in Kothrud and Aundh.
Coming to costs, a one-bedroom apartment for two
persons costs Rs.1, 800 per day and Rs. 10,500 per
week, the two-bedroom apartment costs Rs. 2400 to
Rs. 3000 a day depending on the size. Packages can
