| Plays
and Performances |
The Pune University's Centre for Performing Arts and
the Shiledar family's Marathi Rangabhoomi have kept Balgandharva's
musicals alive. English and Hindi plays in Pune are staged
mostly as cocktail and supper theatre concepts at five-star
hotels like the Holiday Inn, the Blue Diamond, the Pride
and Le Meridien among other city hotels.
Meanwhile, experimental theatre continues at small and
big venues like Sneh Sadan, Narayan Peth; University Women's
Association; Kala Chaya at Gokhale Nagar and the Fergusson
College Amphitheatre. If you are a regular play-watcher,
then check out the famous halls. |
