Videotron House - For soul stirring music

a stock of over 5000 CDs, more than 400 titles,
where is the place for the usual rock and pop? Besides,
our music collections exude positive energy in one's

Videotron Gems and Crystal House, the quaint
shop established in 1992 in Koregaon Park
began by selling silver and gold jewellery, besides
precious and semi precious stones . The business
was set up mainly to cater to foreigners from the
'Osho' Ashram. Raju Mewani, the proprietor, decided
on Audio CDs as a business option again with the
Ashramites in mind. Aware of the 'Sanyasins', quest
for the spiritual, Mr. Mewani's choice of music
CDs seems to be just what the 'Guru' ordered. The
eclectic mix covers topics on Spiritualism, Meditation,
Reiki, Yoga, Shiatsu and even Tantric Sexuality
(whatever that means).
The music available is categorised as Sufi, Ethnic,
Fusion and Osho Meditation. One can hope to find
some really exclusive CDs at Videtron as they are
the authorised distributors in Asia for various
music companies based in UK, USA, Germany, Denmark
and Netherlands. New Earth Records, New World Music,
Fonix, Higher Octave, Celestial Harmony, Satva,
Nasca, Nightingale are just some of the companies,
whose music, Videtron distributes in Asia.
 Being
a one of its kind establishment, Videotron has a
very select clientele from almost all parts of the
country. Stars like Tanuja & 'Showman'
Subhash Ghai have spent time checking out
the albums and sampling works like the Gregorian
Chants, Colours of Trance and Al Gromer
Khan’s Sufi. Almost all the leading
DJ’s from Mumbai visit Videotron. “
With spiritualism gaining in popularity, and people's
interests veering towards Yoga, Meditation
and lessons in 'The Art of Living', it's
only natural that music that helps one relax and
is soothing to the ear, will gain increasing acceptance.
The popularity of this kind of music, has in turn
given birth to a new set of musicians and artists
who have the freedom of restructuring or experimenting
and producing something that is completely new.
 The
store, however, continues to stock its vast collection
of precious and semi precious stones. Videotron
is also the only shop where you can find Aura-Soma
tinctures, bottles, pomanders and Quintessences.
