Operation Hope Gujarat
The
unique, cultural, charity show, aptly called
"In tune with Existence"
organized by Operation Hope Gujarat was
much appreciated by all those who attended
the function at the Nehru Memorial Hall.
The objective of the show was to create
awareness about the need for immediate support
for the reconstruction and rehabilitation
of Gandhidham and its surrounding areas.
Overall the show succeeded to raise Rs.
1,00,000/- (one lakh) and a truckload of
clothes, which will be donated towards the
cause.
The various
performers that were involved in the making
of the show a total success were Sameera
Singh, Ritesh Menon and Dr.
George Judah for their impressive compering,
Shefali Lahoti and the artists of
Shefali Lahoti’s Cultural Academy
for providing beat, light and colour
to the night. Geetanjali Rai of Ghazal
Geetanjali for her melodious voice, Ashish
Bhuyan's Extremes Worldwide for their
thought provoking play centered around the
apt theme of "Empathy",
Rocky Vaz for his sensuous Rumba
Dance Performance and Sunaina Paradkar's
splendid Bharatnatyam recital.
An especially moving segment of the show
was Dr. Nerula's account of his first
hand experience of the quake devastated
areas of Gujarat while Mukeer Tambule
sketched a visual marvel on the backdrop,
depicting the trauma felt by the quake victims.
Apart from the
performers, the organizers also thanked
the National Society of Clean Cities
(NSCC), Hotel Blue Diamond - A Taj
Business Hotel, Uday Shah - Lights
and Sound, Hemant Malik - Printing,
Manish Solanki - Stage Décor and
Mahesh Wanjale – Photography.
