National Society for Clean Cities

The Pune branch of NSCC, Mumbai, was started more than 25 years ago. Spear-headed by the spirited Mrs Gita Vir, NSCC works Mrs Gita Virtowards empowering citizens to become aware of their rights and duties. The society has 28 Mohalla Committees that deal with a variety of issues like pollution control, vermiculture, waste separation and management, violation /misuse of land and floor space index and even traffic congestion.
