Mr B M Verma

Mr B M Verma has formally joined as Joint
Managing Director, Thermax
Babcock & Wilcox (TBW), India's leading
manufacturer of steam generation systems forcaptive
power and co-generation. He has taken charge from
Mr Jack Trier, who has completed his term
as Joint Managing Director.
Thermax Babcock & Wilcox is a joint
venture between Thermax Ltd and Babcock &
Wilcox and has been operational in India since
1989. They manufacture and install a vast range
of steam generation systems for captive power
and co-generation. TBW products are leading brands
in the continuous process industries like Sugar,
Cement, Chemicals, Fertilizers, and Petroleum
and Process Plants. TBW acquired ISO 9001 certification
in 1994 with the latest revision in 1997 for the
design, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning
of boilers. TBW is the first Project Company in
India to install ERP.
An Engineer by profession, Mr Verma has
been trained in Combustion Engineering at USA.
Mr B M Verma started his career with BHEL
in 1967 as a QA Engineer. In his tenure at BHEL
for 32 years, he has successfully executed various
projects in the Utility as well as the Industrial
sector. His last assignment at BHEL was that of
Additional General Manager, Power Sector, and
Northern Region.
In 1995, he took over as Business Group Leader,
Captive and Cogen Group at Larsen & Toubro.
He was also selected to head the Prestigious
Turnkey Project in Rajghat, Delhi. Mr Verma has
been very actively associated with CII Mumbai
and he is also a member of the National Energy
Committee on Power and the National Boiler Board.
