Anant Padmanabhan is the Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ygyan Consulting which was incorporated in Pune as a consulting firm specializing in technology services. He graduated in Engineering from the University of Pune, and followed it up with an MBA from the Maryland Business School along with a Masters degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Maryland. He also has several years of experience in business systems and Internet development.

Anant has worked as a systems consultant with Aspen Systems Corporation, USA where he developed several Intranet systems as well as GroupWare and Integrated business applications. He had also worked as a business analyst at MCI, where he worked on high-level system designs and integration across business functions, as well as on assessments for new projects.

Anant when asked, why he returned to India, said, "I always wanted to come back and start a company." He started Ygyan from his personal funds and today Ygyan has offices in Pune, Delhi, Singapore and has recently announced one in Sydney, Australia.  Ygyan also has a development center in Pune.  Ygyan operates in the USA through a wholly owned subsidiary and plans to open a branch office in UK shortly.

At Ygyan, Anant is responsible for the general management, marketing, strategy, human resources, as well as new business development for the company and is based in Pune.
