L. C. Singh

L .C. Singh known as 'LC' to his friends and
colleagues is a graduate of the 1970 batch of
the Institute of Technology, Benaras Hindu University.
Thereafter, he completed his Advanced Management
Programme (AMP) from Harvard Business School. He
has a rich and varied experience in development,
marketing and general management of over 30 years
in the IT industry. Initially, he worked for State
Bank of India and later moved to the Iranian Ministry
of Finance as a Consultant in Systems.
In 1981, he joined Tata Consultancy Services
(TCS), one of the leading software companies of
India. His initial stint at TCS involved handling
Technical Services and Software Engineering which
was subsequently followed by general management
and marketing responsibilities. He took the
initiative in the development of a range of software
products under the brand name Master key. He very
innovatively and successfully launched two of TCS
software products - E-X- and Rtwo. LC pioneered
development of software products & marketing
at TCS.
In the late 1980's as Resident Manager based in
London, he was responsible for the growth
and progress of TCS in the UK. During the
period of 1990-96, LC grew from Senior Consultant
to Manager Systems to Vice President (Mktg.) to
Executive Vice President and finally to Senior Vice
President. As Senior Vice President at TCS, he was
responsible for TCS business in the UK, South Africa
& Middle East.
He joined Zensar Technologies Ltd. (formerly
International Computers (India) Ltd., ICIL) in 1998
as President & CEO. Under his leadership, Zensar
became the world's first company to be assessed
'Enterprise Wide CMM Level 5'. Today, Zensar is
an end-to-end, high-value software services provider.
With such a blazing trail, today he is shaping Nihilent
Technologies, right from conceptualization,
fine tuning the identity to orchestrating the talents
on-board.-
