"Your meeting me is not
a coincidence, he intones, looking me in the eye.
We were willed to meet" he declares and
proceeds to spout forth profound statements with
amazing lucidity. I marvel at his oratory and
am curious to know more about this nattily dressed,
interesting conversationalist. I do not have to
wait long. He hands me a white envelope, which
has Quantum Success along with his name
and address printed on it. Also printed on the
two ends of the envelope are the following words
in striking gold lettering - "Ideas govern
the World" and "Motivation the
Fire Factor". Intrigued, I get the brochure
out for more details. Printed in the inside cover
are the following words:
"Through mastery over the six inches
of 'inner space' between the ears, you hold the
key to unlock any conquest over outer space"

gather that Cyrus is a motivational speaker
who believes passionately in the power of thought.
That he has succeeded in motivating and inspiring
a wide spectrum of people is obvious from the
eulogies printed in the brochure. Senior supreme
court Advocate Nani Phalkivala, Cabinet
Minister Ram Jhetmalani and several senior
managers of reputed corporate houses have all
been very forthright and generous in their appreciation
of Cyrus's motivational seminars and inspirational
skills.
'If you think you can, you can' is Cyrus's
belief and 'impossible', he wishes us to
know, if decoded positively, spells and echoes
'I'm possible'. Cyrus is convinced that
the will to win is everything. Nothing in the
world, according to him, can take the place of
persistence and determination.
Cyrus's philosophy has many takers. Captains

dedicated and willing to commit their absolute

Well known for his motivational seminars conducted

Lieutenant - General Jangu Sataravalla for having

be squeezed from a stone" is one such
powerful thought that was infused in young Cyrus's
mind.
 Though
Cyrus nurtured and cultivated his father's beliefs
and thoughts, he took to becoming a motivational
speaker as late as in 1991. Before that this History
Graduate from St Stephen's, Delhi was a regular
company executive. He started off as a tea taster
with Goodricke in Calcutta and even worked as
a fire extinguisher salesman for a good eleven
years. The turning point in his life came when
he took on the challenge of
re-commissioning a shutdown factory in a desolate
hilltop in the Nilgiris. It was a year tinged
with adventure, danger and utter loneliness. It
was also the time when he learnt what survival,
commitment and endurance meant. Mission accomplished,
he realized that it is possible to achieve what
one desires with a positive and steadfast attitude.
Quantum Success- the name he has given to his
full-time activity of conducting motivational
seminars, was set up with the idea of spreading
the message of positive thinking.
From promoting fire extinguishers to helping
people keep the fires within themselves alive,
