Ozar
The
temple at Ozar was constructed in the 19th century
precisely in the year 1833. It is on the banks of
the river Kukdi. The idol of Lord Ganesh is in a
sitting posture. Here, Lord Ganesh is known by the
name Vighnahara, a Sanskrit word meaning eliminator
of troubles. The temple is famous for its Deepmala,
which means garland of lights. The temple's golden
dome was built by Bajirao Peshwa's younger brother,
Chimaji Appa. Going to Ozar is easier by road.

Theur
Lord Ganesh at Theur is known as Shree Chintamani,
which means one who releases people from all chintas
or worries. The idol in this shrine is said to
have self-appeared. Its trunk is towards the right.
The peculiarity of this temple is that it is engulfed
by the Mula and Mutha rivers on all three of its
sides.It is best approachable by road.

Morgaon
This is the first self-appeared shrine out of
the eight shrines. The idol of Lord Ganesh is
called Moreshwar or Mayureshwar, which means God
of the peacocks. The place Morgaon itself means
place of peacocks, so the name Moreshwar might
have been coined after the name of the place.

Ranjangaon
The size of the idol of Lord Ganesh at Ranjangaon
gives it the name Mahaganapati, which means a
huge Ganesh. The idol with ten trunks and twenty
arms demonstrates super powers. Innumerable devotees
visit the temple during the Ganesh festival in
the month of Bhadrapada of the Hindu calendar.
Sardar Kibe of Indore, Madhavrao Peshwa and other
Marathas had helped in the construction as well
as in the extension of this temple. State transport
buses are available from Pune to Ranjangaon. The
distance between Urali and Ranjangaon is 16 km.

Lenyadri
The Kukdi river flowing through the village of
Ozar also flows through Lenyadri. The temple of
Ganesh is situated on the banks of the river atop
a hill. The temple has 283 steps. According to
folklore, it was here that Parvati, wife of Lord
Shiva, spent time in prayer and penance when her
son, Lord Ganesh was accidentally killed by Lord
Shiva. By her powers she put life into Lord Ganesh,
but with the head of an elephant and a human's
body. Ganesh is known as Girijatmak. The temple
also houses the idols of Lord Shiva, Hanuman and
other deities.
